The Victims Unit, within the framework of the comprehensive reparation measure, closed the psychosocial support to this initiative that is committed to peace and reconciliation in the Antioquia sub region.

In the rural district of Cirilo, via Turbo-Necoclí, around 25 participants, including reintegrated, victims of armed conflict and former members of the Public Force victims, who received psychosocial support, the closure and delivery of materials for the Tourist Farm project took place.

Among the materials delivered, which amount to $32 million pesos, include barbed wire, motor pumps, water storage tank, wheelbarrows, chairs, tables, zinc sheets, nails, wooden boards, slats, affirmed material, gravel, cement, bricks, iron bars, electro welded mesh, among other inputs identified during the accompaniment and required to strengthen the agro tourism initiative.

“With this delivery we can continue to strengthen our initiative, which is a comprehensive tourist farm and of course with these inputs, materials that the Victims Unit gives us, we have already established them to continue designing and strengthening the infrastructure we need to offer a good service” said Francisco García, legal representative of the Association for Reconciliation and Peace of Urabá, ASOREPAD.

This accompaniment was carried out in eight moments or meetings, in which issues related to short circuits of commercialization, resistance and coping as an organization, analysis of the environment was addressed, as well as leverage and access of individual victims to the extent of Guarantees Non-repetition and Satisfaction.

The strategy, whose call was focused on three main lines such as Education for Peace, Socio productive Processes or Sociocultural Processes, allowed a reflection exercise around the contribution of inputs that facilitated the understanding, alternatives and transformation of some causes and consequences of armed conflict.

“Today these elements are delivered to the agro tourism initiative that culminates its support today, receiving the elements to strengthen its projects and which also allowed them to strengthen as an organization, obtain skills and knowledge in education for peace”, said Elizabeth Granada Ríos, director Urabá-Darién territory.

This initiative, which takes place in parcel 59, one of the assets administered by the Fund for Reparation of the Victims of the armed conflict, is made up of victims, former members of the Public Force, reinstated persons and widows, who resolved to forgive and undertake a productive tourism project that, since 2018, has allowed them to coexist peacefully and give a message of reconciliation to the country and their countrymen.
