The Chocó Territorial of the Victims Unit closed the collective reparation subject of Guaduas, of the rural district with the same name in the municipality of El Carmen de Atrato (Chocó), after a process that began on April 5, 2013 with the identification and compilation of information on the subject, then the community and institutional approach to the community, a day that served to constitute the promotion committee as a representative body.
From then on, the institutional enlistment was developed to start working with the community according to the needs of the damage diagnosis. The formulation of the Comprehensive Plan for Collective Reparation (PIRC) was the stage in which the community identified the activities or actions that, in its opinion, would repair the damage caused by the armed conflict.
The Guaduas Collective Reparation Subject implemented 32 actions distributed as follows: 17 restitution, three rehabilitation, four satisfaction and eight guarantees of non-repetition.
For Vanessa Palacios, territorial director of the Unit in Chocó, this closure means “commitment, work, responsibility, construction, dedication, solidarity, inclusiveness and construction of peace and social network”.
In addition, she pointed out that, “despite the closure of the collective reparation program with this community, the Unit will continue to monitor and ensure compliance with all commitments, since as coordinators of the National System for Comprehensive Attention and Reparation to Victims (SNARIV) She is interested in having total satisfaction in the community”.
The Victims Unit, in the seven years that the process lasted, invested $ 789.516.435 in the 32 reparatory actions.
