The Victim Unit’s Offer area has been applying a new guideline for the definition of military situation of young people in the department of Putumayo, with the objective of providing advice when requesting a military card certificate.

This was explained by Esmeralda Medina, a professional from the Unit who said that “due to inconsistencies or inconclusive inscriptions, many young people have not been able to define their situation on the platform www.libretamilitar.mil.co“
That was the case of Fabián Córdoba, who after carrying out this procedure, appeared in a ‘Deferred Registration State’, which is why his application process did not progress. When approaching the point of attention for the Victims, the counselors or municipal liaisons will verify the personal data and report the respective novelty of registration. Depending on the state of the Army platform, they notify the Territorial Directorate of Putumayo, who will inform at the national level, so that the military institution leaves the platform in the “On record” status, in this way the young man reloads the documents and can conclude his registration.
This is how Fabián managed to define his military situation and download his certificate through ‘My military notebook’, an application that seeks to facilitate the process.
