Within the framework of the agreements established between the Victims Unit and the Regional Indigenous Council of Cauca (CRIC), on the occasion of the 2016-2019 mobilizations, regarding the issue of collective reparation, Ramón Rodríguez, general director of the Victims Unit, affirmed that “the entity is working on the fulfillment of goals, according to commitments agreed upon in the Mixed Commission, in which, of 36 Subjects of Collective Reparation proposed as a goal from the minga, the Unit has complied with the process by attending to 42 subjects included in the Single Registry”.
Likewise, he stressed that, “to date, in budgetary matters, the execution reaches 1.420 million pesos, almost doubling the initial agreed goal of 650 million pesos, items destined to the financing of the sessions of each of the phases of the Collective Repair route and in the implementation of plans, in which agricultural machinery, means of transport, furniture, among others, have been delivered to the communities”.
Rodríguez affirmed that for the year 2021 around 700 million pesos will be allocated in actions agreed with the CRIC that allow the continuation of the comprehensive reparation process.
Regarding the implementation that has been carried out with indigenous communities in Cauca, it is important to highlight that there are the reserves of Toribío, Tacueyó and San Francisco, Proyecto Nasa, Pitayó, Jambaló, Cabildo Nasa de Kitek Kiwe and the Ancestral Town of Ambaló.
