The Victims Unit, the Ministry of the Interior and the National Planning Department, provided technical assistance to the victims’ liaisons, and Secretaries of Government and Planning of the municipalities of Casanare, about the Unified Reporting platform of the Information System, Coordination and Territorial Follow-up (RUSICST) to the Public Policy of Victims.
This platform is a tool for information, monitoring and evaluation of the performance of territorial entities, in relation to the implementation of public policy and action plans for prevention, assistance, care and comprehensive reparation for victims.
During the meeting, the delegates of the territorial entities learned the technical process of access to the platform and the type of information should be reported, regarding the progress in the implementation of the actions contained in instruments such as the Territorial Action Plan (PAT) ; those defined in transitional justice committees; return and relocation processes; the participation of the victims in the different spaces; the dynamics of armed conflict in the territory, and others.
The director of the Unit in Meta and Llanos Orientales, Carlos Pardo Alezones, stressed that, in addition, “RUSICST allows the identification of institutional shortcomings and proposes the implementation of an Improvement Plan that allows gradual progress towards the guarantee of rights of the victim population”.
The completion of the RUSICST is mandatory for territorial entities and must be carried out between July 25 and next August 31.
This training will be extended in the following days to the members of the mayors of the other departments that make up the Meta and Llanos Orientales territories.
