In the last 12 months, the Unit for the Victims has coordinated the assistance of 73 forced displacement and 25 confinements events

Since March 17th, 2020, 17,259 families and approximately 62,595 people have been affected in different areas of the country.

 

 

The Unit for the Victims became aware of 91 massive humanitarian emergencies: 73 forced displacements and 25 confinements, all of which happened since the covid-19 isolation period began until February 28th, 2021.

As the main humanitarian player in the country, the entity has coordinated assistance for approximately 17,259 families and 62,595 people who have been affected.

The events of forced displacement which have been registered in 2021 are:

Buenaventura (Valle del Cauca)

Barbacoas (Nariño)

El Tambo (Cauca) – San Juan de Micay village

El Tambo (Cauca) – Nayita settlement

Tibu (Norte de Santander)

Litoral del San Juan (Choco)

Magui Payan (Nariño)

Caceres (Antioquia)

Buenaventura (Valle del Cauca)

Santa Barbara de Iscuande (Nariño)

Ituango (Antioquia) – Quindio, Alto del Limon, Sauces, Quebrada del Medio, el Zarzal villages.

Ituango (Antioquia) – San Matias village

Mosquera (Nariño)

Hacari (Norte de Santander)

Alto Baudo (Choco)

The most recent confinements registered events are:

Immediate Humanitarian Aid:

Until February 15th, 2021, the entity had provided Immediate Humanitarian Aid by cash mechanism in subsidiary support to territorial entities in 23 departments, 177 municipalities and 4,103 households for an amount of $5,137,987,588 COP.

In this line of work, ethnic communities were supported in the following manner: afro (455 households) for an amount of $384,986,757 COP; indigenous (122 households) with resources for $145,298,347 COP, and a gypsy household with $1,176,257 COP.

Through the in-kind mechanism, the Unit provided Immediate Humanitarian Aid in subsidiary support to territorial entities for seven departments, 32 municipalities, and 9,847 households for an amount of $7,254,457,142 COP.

Through this mechanism, 2,789 afro households received $2,004,981,364 COP and 5,202 indigenous households received $3,798,666,736 COP.
