San Calixto and La Playa are the first municipalities in Norte de Santander to reactivate the points of care for victims, after the temporary closure generated by the mandatory preventive isolation measures by COVID-19.
After seven months of being closed the PAV (points of attention to victims) and after declaring the selective isolation, the municipal administrations of San Calixto and La Playa complied with the requirements demanded by the national government for the reopening of the offices that will allow physical and face-to-face, attend to the requests, requirements and inquiries of the communities affected by violence.
Through the municipal links, the municipalities of San Calixto and La Playa have presented the biosafety protocol that will not only guarantee In–person assistance but also preserve the health of our victims. Municipal administrations have additional and expert personnel who will implement hand washing with users, disinfection of footwear, temperature measurement and control of physical distancing as protection measures.
“At this stage it is necessary that the victims continue to use the mask as the main element of protection and prevention”, added the territorial director of the Victims Unit in Norte de Santander and Arauca, Alicia María Rojas Pérez.
Lines and orientation
In the same way, the official explained that, to avoid crowds, the territorial entities had a staff that will be in charge of scheduling appointments. In San Calixto, the municipal administration authorized the number 3132191029 to carry out this process, while, in the municipality of La Playa, the territorial entity established the line 3125858131 for people to schedule their appointment in advance.
Rojas Pérez explained the methodology that was drawn up in accordance with the municipal links: “In San Calixto and La Playa, forty people will be attended daily by appointment, that is, twenty people in the morning and twenty more in the afternoon, who will receive the face-to-face assistance process by the Victims Unit personnel. Likewise, on Mondays, the attention will be carried out preferentially for the population from the north and north-west areas according to the order of arrival until completing a maximum of forty people. The above, for the inhabitants of San Calixto”.
In the midst of the sanitary and isolation measures that were declared in the month of March, the Victims Unit in coordination with the territorial entities has guaranteed virtual and telephone attention to victims who daily seek to know the status of their related processes with the payment of compensation, humanitarian aid and updating of documents, among others, added the official.
