A total of 71 infrastructure projects and community social endowment will be executed in seven municipalities of Catatumbo with Development Programs with a Territorial Approach (PDET) for the term 2020.
The initiatives led by the Victims Unit and Colombia Transforma program will be implemented within the framework of the Special Community Support Schemes (EEAC), which are developed within the Return and Relocations process, as one of the actions focused on guaranteeing integral reparation of the victims of the armed conflict who returned to their territories or were relocated to other areas.
The purpose of the EEACs is to complement, harmonize or make more flexible the offer or available state strategies, so that progress can be made towards the processes of socioeconomic stabilization and comprehensive reparation of the population, victims of violence in the process of return and / or relocation.
“The Victims Unit carried out a process of review and analysis of the projects presented by the presidents, related to the construction of sports venues, community action meeting rooms, footprints, furnishing of educational centers, delivery of technological equipment , school restaurants and cultural, sports and hospital endowment to these populations, among others, that will serve as coexistence scenarios”, said the director of the entity in Norte de Santander and Arauca, Alicia María Rojas Pérez.
The official indicated that the approved projects were delivered and filed by the municipal administrations in established periods where they formulated the initiatives that will benefit the populations of Hacarí, San Calixto, El Carmen, Teorama, El Tarra, Convencion and Sardinata that are part of the PDET.
“It is an inter-institutional work where we as the Unit for Victims, provide the materials for the construction of the works and deliver the endowment elements in the areas mentioned above, and the territorial entity provides the labor,” added Rojas Pérez.
Of the 71 projects, 32 are directed to the line of investment of social and community infrastructure, the remaining 39 were focused on the line of social and community endowment.
