The Unit for the Victims’ Director, Ramon Rodriguez, held a meeting with the Political Sciences Institute in order to articulate information exchange regarding boys, girls and teenagers’ recruitment victimizing act: “This organization is working closely with the JEP on everything dealing with boys, girls and teenagers’ recruitment.”
“We seek to collaborate with the Political Sciences Institute giving all our services on information exchange. This will facilitate articulation in the work boards we do with the Special Jurisdiction for Peace, especially on information matters and to cross reference our Single Victims Registry with their accredited victims’ data; we will also check the differential approaches within the framework of the decree-laws.”
The Director mentioned that a letter of understanding will be formalized with the Political Sciences Institute: “This tool will allow us to establish working group boards that will strengthen what is already being carried out with the JEP”.
According to the Single Victims Registry, to date, 8,449 direct individuals are included due to the victimizing act of linking boys, girls and teenagers to armed groups related activities.
