The Victims Unit carried out a virtual training, in which 32 municipal liaisons from the department of Huila participated, in order to provide them with knowledge about the different processes of the entity to guarantee the payments to which those affected by the armed conflict are entitled.
Yhina Paola Lombana, territorial director of the Unit for Caquetá and Huila, explained that this workshop focused on consolidating knowledge about the route of the administrative compensation process, as well as socialization about trust commission payments and bank payments.
“The compensation process is a Comprehensive Reparation measure delivered by the Colombian State as financial compensation for the violent acts suffered, which seeks to help in the strengthening or reconstruction of the life project of victims who access this measure and who, after the pandemic of COVID-19, a prioritization has been necessary”, explained Lombana.
After this work, the socialization by the Unit and the municipal liaisons to the participation tables and the victims in general in this area of the country will continue, making known the progress in terms of compensation payments and the procedures carried out to request Payments.
With these approaches, the Caquetá-Huila territorial direction intends that the municipal liaisons advance in the knowledge of the processes of the Unit, so that the most benefited are the victims of the different municipalities receiving clear and precise information about their procedures.
