Members of the committee to promote the Collective Reparation Subject (SRC) of Liberia inspection of the municipality of Viotá (Cundinamarca), resumed the activities contemplated in the Collective Reparation Comprehensive Plan.
Through a face-to-face session, in which the biosecurity protocols were maintained, such as social distancing and the use of masks, “Entrelazando” strategy was implemented.
The measure aimed at the recovery of the social network, allowed the reunion of 12 leaders in the coliseum of Puerto Brasil hamlet, one of 14 hamlets that are part of SRC and in which there are an average of 400 families affected by the armed conflict.
Hernando Espita, coordinator of the promotion committee, highlighted the fact that these actions are reactivated and that we can count on the presence of the Victims Unit again in the territory: “The message for the entire community is that we move forward, because we have to continue recovering or if we would not be exposed to what was before and we should not go backwards, that is why we also hope to continue counting on the support of the Unit to comply with the entire comprehensive reparation plan”.
In this first activity, the professionals of the Central Territorial Directorate and those attending the meeting agreed on the planning of actions for the year 2020 and verification of autonomous actions pending to be carried out in the remainder of the semester.
“Since 2014, we have complied with measures such as the planting of a garden and a mural in memory of victims located in the school, in addition to a field mass and the most recent action to highlight was the Festival of the three generations, which was attended by 150 people. All these activities have allowed us to meet again and integrate ourselves to overcome what happened”, said Elsa Chunque, leader of Puerto Brasil hamlet.
