With recreational activities the rights of child victims in Cúcuta are socialized

In the Regional Center of Attention to Victims (Crav), daily activities are held to promote the rights of children.

In order to celebrate the feast of October 31, the Victims Unit of Norte de Santander and Arauca and the psychology training students of the University of Pamplona, ​​bring recreation, joy and fun to children surviving the armed conflict in the border area.

From this Wednesday and as a preamble to the traditional celebration, the entity organized a series of recreational activities for children, with the aim of highlighting their rights and the path of attention in psychosocial matters that these children receive in a condition of vulnerability by the effects caused by violence.

“These children are our raison d’être, at their young ages they represent the future of our country and they also focus the process of integral reparation that we advance from the Unit to achieve peacebuilding. Today we want to reiterate, socialize and disseminate their rights of equality, identity, love, education, protection, quality of life, solidarity, integration and assistance, among others”, said the territorial director of the Victims Unit in Norte de Santander and Arauca, Alicia María Rojas Pérez.

The official reiterated the human and institutional commitment of the Unit with this population that continues to be a victim of armed conflict in the east of the country: “their rights must prevail, good treatment, access to education, health and recreation, as mechanisms for an integral development of these human beings”. In addition, he thanked the participation and involvement of students in Psychology training at the University of Pamplona who led the activities with the route of Children’s Rights that alternated with games, balloons and colors.

The activity will run until Thursday, October 31, where parents and family members of minors will be able to consult regarding the guarantee of the rights of children.
