With the participation of the high presidential adviser for Stabilization Emilio Archila, the general director of the Victims Unit, Ramón Rodríguez, the deputy director of the entity, Lorena Mesa, the governors of Caquetá and Huila, and mayors of 17 municipalities of those departments , the institutional session to promote the PDETs (Development Programs with a Territorial Focus) of the Caguán and Piedemonte Caqueteño basins was held.
Regarding Pillar 8 Reconciliation, Coexistence and Peace, the moderator and deputy director of the Unit for Victims, Lorena Mesa stressed that the entity works in this region, in coordination with various actors committed to assisting and repairing victims: “Eleven roundtables with institutional and bilateral scenarios were developed with a work plan to carry out in the short, medium and long term, the more than 300 initiatives listed, which are addressed by the Nation, the departments and the municipalities, counting on the strong support of international cooperation with organizations like Giz and Blumont ”.
She also stressed that “it has been possible to include the victim policy in the development plans of the municipalities that are part of the Caguán and Piedemonte Caqueteño basin, achieving. I hope that the people whose rights were violated during the conflict are taken into account in the execution of projects and programs that in some way repair their pain”.
Unit
In Caguán and Piedemonte Caqueteño basin region, progress has been made in the processes of Collective Reparation, Returns and Prevention, with the delivery of five special schemes for community accompaniment in Belén de los Andaquíes, Florencia, La Montañita and San Vicente del Caguán.
The entity also supported infrastructure and furniture endowment projects in Algeciras, Puerto Rico and Florencia, and progress in the implementation of the Comprehensive Plan for Collective Repair of Honduras reservation and Nasa We ‘xs La Gaitana Council.
For his part, Gerson Lugo, peace adviser to the Caquetá Governorate and leader of the table, highlighted the appropriation of the pillar by the institutions for the development of planning for compliance with the agreed activities.
Lugo emphasized that Caquetá and most of its municipalities strengthened the peace councils and also work in different community spaces, by carrying out infrastructure works in the localities, strategies to achieve rural security and the pedagogy and communication program. for reconciliation.
Strategies such as psychology for peace, human rights, women and gender, attention to the LGBTI population, freedom of worship, leadership, community economic empowerment, programs for youth and adolescents, justice with rurality and strengthening of historical memory were also implemented in these municipalities among other lines.
Works
Among the works covered by Pillar 8 is the construction of bio-healthy parks in various municipalities, community booths in rural areas, construction of sports centers and their adaptation, among others.
