The implementation of the pilot that includes the delivery of resources in kind and the materialization of the institutional offer began with 31 families returned in the Quebrada Bonita de Tierralta district.
“In developing this workshop what we are looking for is that those families who left their villages and townships to save themselves from the conflict can make an effective return, addressing the causes that create difficulties for the displaced households and thus help to recover their life project”, said Manuel Pacheco Salgado, Territorial Director of Unit for victims in Córdoba.
The official added that “it is a comprehensive accompaniment, where inputs are provided so that the return and relocation plans can be converted into technically and financially feasible programs.”
This workshop is presented as a construction space where the community itself formulates the projects they need so that the Unit and the IOM can then provide technical assistance on the preparation and monitoring of the Type of the municipality programs.
Córdoba is the first department in the implementation of Type programs and in total more than 100 families will benefit.
