In a meeting with the General Director of the Victims Unit, Ramón Rodríguez, the Executive Director of the Blumont International organization, Jonathan Nash, ratified the commitment of this cooperator with the entity, to attend the victims of conflict in different regions of the country.
“Blumont works around the world, but we have a special history here in Colombia, almost 10 years old. We will continue to support that joint work with you in the future,” reiterated Jonathan Nash, CEO of Blumont.
This organization has been supporting the Unit on issues such as co-financing initiatives aimed at the implementation of strategies for emotional recovery and community rehabilitation, including the Interlacing Strategy; in the delivery of immediate humanitarian aid in recent displacement events; in strengthening the Municipal Participation tables for their impact on public policy of care and reparation for victims, among other matters.
For Ramón Rodríguez, “this meeting is to consolidate the work we have been doing for years, in 17 municipalities in which Blumont accompanies us, in the area of immediate humanitarian aid and in the implementation of methodologies and institutional strengthening”.
Laura Villegas, coordinator of the Unit of International Cooperation of the Unit, raised the importance of the continuity of the accompaniment of Blumont in relation to the immediate attention in the territories and strengthening of the tables of participation of victims, among others.
According to Villegas, the emphasis for activities supported by this cooperative will continue in the subjects of collective reparation, communities returned and / or focused within the framework of the peace agreements, among other activities.
Currently, in the department of Cauca, the Unit has 98 subjects of collective reparation, which advance in their processes of emotional recovery, thanks to the joint work of the entity and international cooperation.
