In the communal hall of El Pesebre neighborhood of the municipality of Simití, Bolívar, the Victims Unit delivered a movable envelope for educational institutions in the rural area of the municipality of Simití, Bolívar.
This delivery covered the needs of the educational institutions of the towns of Las Brisas, San Blas, Cerro de Vera Cruz, San Joaquín, Monterrey, Ánimas Altas, Ánimas Bajas and urban area.
Among the delivered items are filing cabinets, desks, boards, fans, dining rooms with four seats, libraries, children’s and adult plastic tables, work desks for teachers, among other elements required by the student population to meet their needs of schooling.
This activity was convened by officials of the territorial direction of the Victims Unit in Magdalena Medio and brought together, in addition to the teachers and the beneficiary population, also the Municipal Mayor, Secretary of Education, Municipal Ombudsman, Territorial Director of the Victims Unit in the Magdalena Medio and representatives of the Municipal Participation Board.
“We want to thank the Unit for this provision of funding to the institutions to this municipality, because the recruitment of minors can be avoided and children are brought to education, we are very grateful and hope to continue leading these processes that benefit the entire victim and vulnerable population of the municipality of Simití”, expressed in gratitude to the entity, Luz Dary María Calderón, representative of the Participation Board and beneficiary of the project based on San Blas township.
The investment made with these deliveries amounts to an approximate of $ 352 million and points to the fulfillment by the State of the projects contemplated in the plan of returns and relocations of this municipality of Magdalena Medio.
For the municipal mayor, Jesús Alberto Ramírez, the Victims Unit has been a strategic ally to fulfill the progress in the integral reparation of the survivors of conflict: “Thank the Unit for this beautiful gift that has brought us to this municipality and these townships, I am very happy with this administration because during these years they have supported me a lot, thanks for this endowment that I do not know how to thank you”.
On the other hand, Amparo Chicué Cristancho, territorial director of Unit, said that “it is important to always think about those who benefit from these projects, in this case it is the children who are going to have better educational conditions and that this allows us to contribute as an entity, first to the prevention of forced recruitment and second that as a State we can fulfill the commitments agreed in the return and relocation plans”.
In this way, the Victims Unit continues to make progress in integral reparation, since these actions comply with the return and relocation plan contemplated by the municipality.
