Through a strategic alliance between Colombian Crafts and the Victims Unit, this year eight projects of victims of armed conflict in different regions of the country will be exhibiting their handicrafts as part of their integral reparation process.
The space seeks to make visible and dignify the traditions of cultural groups that were affected by armed conflict and has a restorative component because it becomes a sample of the plurality of territories.
The Unit prioritized in its selection of participants women’s organizations and ethnic community projects aimed at promoting women’s leadership and the role of women in the construction of a country.
Among the handcrafted samples are representatives of Alta Guajira with its project ‘Wakuai’pa’, Cesar with ‘Dwryameina’, Putumayo with ‘Arte ancestral’, Caquetá with ‘Jai Duma’, Casanare with ‘Sáenz’, Sucre with ‘Sampués’ Artesanías’, and Barranquilla with ‘Grass accessories’ and’ coconut nougat.
Among the creations stand backpacks, hammocks, fabrics in natural fibers, jewelry, rhinestones, woodwork, mustard and candy shop.
