The Victims Unit accompanied the Municipal Ombudsman of Bahía Solano in making a statement for confinement to El Brazo indigenous community, in coordination with the Ombudsman’s Office, the Colombian Family Welfare Institute (ICBF) and IPS Comfachocó.
A day of influenza vaccination and measurement of weight and height was developed to determine the conditions of the children of this community, among other actions aimed at establishing what attention is needed by the entities of National System of Attention and Comprehensive Victim Repair (Snariv).
The women belonging to the community served received a talk about family planning and the Ombudsman deployed recreational activities for the use of free time.
During this day, the Office of the Ombudsman and the Personnel achieved that the municipal administration committed to provide the first humanitarian aid to 100 households, that is, approximately 400 people, who suffer this confinement by the actions of illegal armed groups operating in the zone.
