Several announcements for the survivors of armed conflict were made by the director of Victims Unit, Ramón Rodríguez, as part of CONSTRUYENDO PAÍS workshop, led by the President of the Republic, Iván Duque.
The official said that this month, in Sucre, the Unit will make 1,207 drafts for a total value of $ 702 million, for humanitarian assistance, of which 527 spins will be made in Sincelejo, worth $ 337 million, and 18 spins will be in Coveñas, for 14 million.
Likewise, Ramón Rodríguez announced that in February 141 administrative indemnities will be delivered, for a value exceeding $ 1,209 million pesos, of which 46 will be made in Sucre, for $ 454.3 million.
The director of Unit informed that in San Onofre the entity will support two initiatives, with an approximate investment of $ 116 million pesos. One is called “Design Change” and is part of the Education for Peace line. Its objective is “to promote the values associated with a culture of peace through community meetings in Pajonal, to avoid the emergence of new violence in the village”.
This initiative, which is developed with the Pajonal Educational Institution, will benefit 63 students, with an approximate investment of $ 60 million. It will include support in strengthening the work teams of dance, theater and reporters with audiovisual materials, and equipment of production center for the communications group.
The second initiative is of the sociocultural line, for the subject of collective reparation of LA LIBERTAD district. It is called Afromúsica and aims to support the reconstruction of social fabric through joint work with people from the same community who are called weavers.
Through this initiative, bullenrap will be promoted, with children and young people, children of victims of armed conflict, and Afromúsica (construction of music through resilience for the recovery of stories and life plans), with the handing over of instruments, technical and technological equipment, representing an approximate investment of $ 56 million.
371,090 victims are registered in Sucre. In this department, $ 283 billion have been invested, of which $ 108 thousand have been earmarked for compensation, $ 171 billion in aid and humanitarian assistance, $ 341 million in support of territorial entities, 147 million in social and community infrastructure projects and $ 2,176 million in care centers.
