The general director of Victims Unit, Ramón Alberto Rodriguez Andrade, reported on Tuesday that the entity will begin making payments to people who were affected by the terrorist attack in which twenty cadets lost their lives at the General Francisco police school of Paula Santander.
The director said that “we are going to do an accompaniment because we want the victims of the attack to be treated, also through the mechanisms that we have of attention of up to two minimum wages for loss of assets, this resource will be given to each family”
The entity is waiting for the census of people affected, the delivery of this will be made by the District Institute of Risk Management (Idiger) and having this information will proceed by Victims Unit to locate the people to make payments.
By having the census of affected people will be validated through the victim assistance subcommittee to check the information and having the certainty of the number of affected will be proceed to settle according to the effects and payment will be made to through the assigned banking operator. If any person has any type of claim, it will be done through the ombudsman’s office and the process with the Unit will begin.
The Genera Director pointed out that after this attention in the first phase, each family must proceed with the Public Ministry to declare the fact and thus initiate the transit established in Law 1448 or Victims Law.
