24 displaced families in Tarazá (Antioquia) were assisted by the Victims Unit

The 24 families are represented in 95 people who are currently living at home with family and friends.

Victims  Unit is present in Tarazá municipality to serve and assist the 24 families who are displaced.

So far there are 24 families who are displaced, who were affected after a clash on January 14 in the village of San Antonio in the municipality of Tarazá.

The situation took place at approximately 10:30 p.m. of last Monday, after an armed combat in San Antonio settlement in the municipality of Tarazá and out of fear the families left their houses to the village El Doce.

The 24 families are represented in 95 people who are currently living at home with family and friends, of which there are children under 6 years old there are 16, between 7 and 17 they are 35, from 18 to 25 years old, 10; from 26 to 60 years there are 27 and over 61 years 7 people.

This Friday a Transitional Justice Committee is being held in which the municipal and departmental entities participate to analyze the situation of public order and care for these families.

Additionally, this Saturday, January 19, there will be a meeting of the Intersectorial Commission for the Rapid Response to Early Warning (Ciprat), which will be chaired by the Interior Minister, Nancy Patricia Gutiérrez, in accordance with Decree 2124 of December 18, 2017, in which “the prevention and alert system is regulated for the rapid reaction to the presence, actions and / or activities of the organizations, criminal acts and conducts that compromise the rights of the population and the implementation of Final Agreement for Termination of the Conflict and the Construction of a Stable and Lasting Peace “.

Wilson Córdoba, Victims Unit director in Antioquia said that “the Ciprat is convened by the Ministry of the Interior and involved entities of the municipal, departmental and national social inclusion and competent authorities to assess the situation and generate action plans in the prevention and monitoring of the situation that is currently being presented, not only in Tarazá but also in Caucasia, Zaragoza and El Bagre “.

The official also explained that “according to the emergency response mechanisms contemplated by law 1448, in the first instance the attention for affected population is on behalf of the municipality and in the second instance the departmental government and then the Victims’ Unit in the delivery of humanitarian aid based on the taking, receipt and analysis of the declaration of victimizing events that occurred. “

According to the Unified Victims Registry, in Tarazá Municipality there are 14,429a  as of November 30, 2018.

During 2018 in Antioquia there were 17 massive displacements of which 14 were in Bajo Cauca subregion.
