The three State entities through their territorial directors in the Coffee Axis Luz Faride Grisales (DPS), Laura Moreno (Unit for Victims) and María Nidia Henao (ICBF) met in Pereira, with the objective of unifying and projecting some activities that may benefit the vulnerable population in the territory, especially the population that is victim of armed conflict.
According to data from the DPS until February 2017, families that were victims of armed conflict could enter the “Families in Action” program at any time, but from there the conditions for all the groups were equalized, although preferential treatment remains in the sense that the victim families can make transfer news to any municipality in the country and do not lose their status as beneficiaries.
“We think it is very important to meet these inter-institutional meetings, analyze the offer and the various activities that we can develop for the benefit of victims and other population groups, we think it is very interesting the offer that has the DPS in terms of benefits that may be to receive the victims that belong to the Youth in Action program, in front of the incentive for higher studies and of course we will join efforts so that they realize the registry “, commented Laura Moreno about it.
Luz Faride Grisales explained that the program objective is to strengthen and increase human capital in technical, technological and professional training of the population in conditions of poverty and vulnerability, among them the victims, as of February 2019, the department of Risaralda had 5,128 young people.
The program through which young people receive a monetary incentive is present in public universities for the case of Risaralda, at the Technological University of Pereira and there are also agreements with the SENA in the municipalities of Pereira and Dosquebradas.
So things the pre-registration days will be carried out for the case of Pereira Technological University, Building 3 room 3-210, from April 1 to 5 between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm, are being convened young people between 16 and 24 years old, who must be registered in one of the five populations in vulnerable condition (ICBF, Indigenous, United, Sisben) and in the case of victims applies only to those who suffered the victimizing event of forced displacement, They must carry the identity document and the high school diploma in PDF format, cell phone number for contact and email.
Applicants must also meet the following academic criteria: in the case of professional technicians: up to the first two academic periods enrolled; technologists: up to the first three academic periods enrolled; University professional: up to the first four academic periods enrolled.
In the case of SENA Pereira, the first pre-registration day will be held from April 22 to May 3 and SENA Dosquebradas from April 29 to May 3.
Finally, the regional director of the DPS argued that it will begin phase VII of the FEST program (FAMILIAS EN SU TIERRA) in the municipalities of Quinchía, Mistrató and Pueblo Rico, a program aimed at returning population and that has four components: support for individual projects, housing improvement, food security and collective ventures. For the above there are 800 spaces distributed as follows: 160 for Mistrató, 320 for Pueblo Rico and 320 for Quinchia.
