From April 5 to 8, we celebrate the Colombian victims’ attention day in Miami, Florida

With the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and within the framework of the cooperation agreement with the Norwegian Refugee Council, the victims of the armed conflict residing in this city of the United States will be oriented.

As of March 31, 2018, 1,132 people who consider themselves to be victims of the Colombian armed conflict have surrendered a statement in the United States and 524 of them in Miami.

The Unit for Victims expects to assist and guide the largest number of people registered in the Victims Registry (RUV), in order to clarify their cases and the processes that must be advanced with the entity.

Staff of the Unit for Victims, the Land Restitution Unit and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will provide advice on issues such as return, reparation measures and notifications. The victims who attend, and who require it, may receive psychosocial attention.

Statements will also be received from people who consider themselves victims of the armed conflict in Colombia and will be guided on the processes with the Land Restitution Unit.
