Unit announced advances in cooperation in Magdalena Medio region

In a meeting with institutional actors in this region of the country, the Victims Unit delivered a balance of the management of international cooperation and strategic alliances in favor of victims.

In the facilities of the territorial direction of the Victims Unit, in the Magdalena Medio, a work meeting was held whose main objective was to review the progress of work with international cooperation and strategic alliances that are held in this area of ​​the country.

The meeting was led by Germán Infante, Advisor to the International Cooperation and Strategic Alliances Group of the Victims Unit, also had the presence of officials of the Agency for Reincorporation and Standardization (ARN), Chamber of Commerce of Barrancabermeja, Nations United and the Revolving Fund for Development, Training and Credit, the latter attached to the City Hall.

The main objective was to carry out a socialization of the advances that the Victims Unit has achieved in the subject and in turn the experiences of actions advanced by the different institutions present in this space were also announced.

“With this meeting, as a Victims Unit, we have been able to leave a very strong message in the other institutions, specifically in the private sector and international cooperation that is present in the Middle Magdalena region, in order to continue with the work that so far we have developed in coordination with these actors, through the Socio-Economic Projection Table, formed in this region”, said Amparo Chicué Cristancho, territorial director of the Victims Unit in the Magdalena Medio.

Complementing the efforts made by the National Government through the Victims Unit, being able to reach and serve more victims of armed conflict and be able to harmonize the resources of the Colombian State, with the resources of international cooperation and the private sector, was the clear message that this meeting left in the present institutions that promised to continue working on this issue.

From the national level of the Victims Unit, work has been carried out with the Presidential Council for Stabilization and Consolidation, in order to aim to fulfill the Government’s goals in its Development Plan and in turn with the implementation of the Victims law, in the specific case of Territorial Approach Development Programs (PDET), where our resources are arriving to work with collective reparation, returns and relocations and also in individual reparation.
