Nariño will have two new spaces for the care of victims

This was revealed by the national director of the Victims Unit, Ramón Rodríguez, during Building a Country Workshop, in the city of San Juan de Pasto. There, the institutional image that will be on the façade of Nariño capital’s headquarters was made and the opening of the Point of Attention with ethnic differential focus to the Awá people of Nariño, in El Diviso township, of Barbacoas Municipality.

In development of the workshop building a country number 31, the director of the Unit for the Attention and Integral Reparation to Victims, Ramón Rodríguez, with the presence of the President of the Republic, Iván Duque Márquez, made the delivery to the representative of the Participation Table of the Victims, William Castro and the Mayor of Pasto, Pedro Vicente Obando, of the agreement for the construction of the Regional Center of Attention for Victims (CRAV), which will be located Anganoy, on the way to Los Rosales 2, and which will have an area of ​​927 mt2.

“The project, which has a cost of more than 3,000 million pesos, of which the Victims Unit will contribute about 2,524 million and $ 484 million, the Mayor of Pasto, has as main objective to gather in a single physical space all the offer of National System of Comprehensive Care and Reparation for Victims (Snariv) to guarantee attention to the citizen and victim population with a differential approach, focus on rights and psychosocial approach through respect for quality standards, dignified treatment, agile and respectful attention”, assured the director of the entity.

Another of the announcements made was the opening of the Point of Care with an ethnic differential approach to the Awá people of Nariño, in El Diviso township, in the municipality of Barbacoas. The Director of Unit gave symbolic delivery of the institutional image that will be located on the façade of the headquarters.

On the other hand, the Victims Unit delivered 3 letters of compensation, thanks to the prioritization route established by Resolution 1049 of 2019, which prioritizes payments to people over 74 years of age and people who present criteria of disability or catastrophic illness.

During the month of May 503 administrative indemnities will be delivered for a value of 3,683 million in the department of Nariño, of which 100 compensations for a value of $ 653 million will be delivered in Pasto.

In the same way, 4,585 transfers will be made for 2.675 million pesos for Humanitarian Attention in the department of Nariño, of which, 675 transfers for $ 369 million will be made in Pasto.

Finally, it was announced that the Victims Unit will support 20 socio-productive initiatives that seek to strengthen projects in the textile and garment sector in Tumaco, with an investment of close to $ 122 million (delivery scheduled for May 28) and will support a socio-cultural initiative in the municipality of Santa Bárbara de Iscuandé, made up of 14 people, of which 12 (86%) are victims of armed conflict. The initiative seeks to strengthen the cultural, artistic and musical processes of Afro-descendant community of the municipality, with an approximate investment of 30 million pesos.
