The Victims Unit, through the Sub-Directorate of Prevention and Emergency Assistance (SPAE), will deliver 52 tons of immediate humanitarian aid, consisting of food kits and toilet implements, worth $ 421,284,878.
This was announced by Vladimir Marti, director in charge of the entity: “We have coordinated with the territorial entity the delivery of humanitarian care, the Mayor’s Office and the Government have already arrived in the care of these families. The Victims Unit has had more than 50 tons of humanitarian aid to be delivered during this Thursday, Friday and Saturday”.
The Victims Unit has been able to establish through the census that there are more than 1,000 families affected by these forced displacement events.
“We want to tell the people that were affected that we regret the occurrence of such events, however, it is our responsibility to get to them. The Victims Unit, as coordinator of the system, has managed an entire inter-institutional articulation exercise with the territorial entities, with the mayor of Tumaco, the Nariño Governorate and with national-level entities to establish the care strategy”, added the official.
Vladimir Marti said that the Victims Unit reaffirms its commitment to those affected by the fact of forced displacement, to attend and restore the rights of these families.
